When I look at Twitter, I occasionally see people saying, "I want to use XX as a commander, but I don't know how to build a deck / it's difficult." Whenever I see that, I always think, "There's no such thing as failure, and if you don't fear anything and just get 99 cards other than the commander, you'll have a deck." I always lay out cards and build decks by combining them with armchair theories, delusions, and wishful thinking
Its very similar to evolution, or stages of cards in other games
When scarcity, the strength of the card design, collector popularity, condition, and graded evaluation overlap, the price easily stretches all at once
Staple monsters like Breaker the Magical Warrior, Sangan, and Tsukuyomi, along Thousand-Eyes Restrict serve as the decks dark monsters, while Magician of Faith, Magical Merchant, and either Shining Angel or Skilled White Magician are the lights (rather than Thunder Dragon)
